New patterns: Sevilla top and Singapore shorts+pants

Today is the release of my two new sewing patterns with Project Run and Play
I love to work with other designers on Project Run and Play collections, designing patterns that work perfectly with each other and that kids will love to wear.
This collection is called Project Jet Set and I designed two patterns, the Sevilla sleeveless top for girls and the Singapore shorts for boys and girls. Both patterns are now available exclusively at Project Run and Play along with the other amazing patterns in the collection, and they are 20% off until Monday, May 16th.

 The Sevilla sleeveless top pattern

The Sevilla top is named after the city in Spain. I've been there many times during the summer, as it is fairly close to where I usually vacation in the south of Portugal, and it's my favorite city in Spain. It's beautiful, inviting, colorful, and a pleasure to walk around.

The Sevilla top pattern is a knit top that would be perfect to wear while traveling. With a short bodice and slightly flared body, it’s perfect to color block, to feature special prints and to use up small pieces of knit fabric. The bodice front seam is curved upwards to go above the bust, making it comfortable and fun, and the back closes with a button loop. You can make it sleeveless or with a ruffle on the shoulders for a more girly look. It pairs perfectly with shorts, pants or skirts and it's a quick sew.

In these photos the Sevilla top is paired with the Laura jeans pattern for girls.

The Singapore shorts pattern

The Singapore shorts are named in honor of my wonderful pattern testers that are from Singapore. I've never been there but I hope to visit one day. The Singapore pattern is an easy fit pants and shorts designed for woven fabrics, that pairs beautifully with all sorts of tops, and will be a staple in my kids' travelling clothes.

With elastic waist and no zip or closures for easy getting dressed, it includes hip slanted pockets on the front and patch pockets on the back, and you can make it with a rib knit or a woven waistband. The pattern is unisex, comes in sizes 3 to 14 years old, and it's an easy and fast sew.
