New patterns: Reef Top and Seaside Shorts
Meet two new patterns for girls, the Reef top and the Seaside shorts. These patterns are part of the newest pattern collection of Project Run and Play, and I've already mentioned that I love collaborating with other designers to make these collections.
This collection is called Project Under the Sea and, inspired by the Little Mermaid live action movie, I've created a light and breezy top and sailor style shorts to take your girl through summer.
The Reef Top is easy to pull on over the head, features elastic around the waist and upper chest, shoulder straps, double flounce around the chest and plenty of ease. It looks perfect sewn in lightweight woven fabrics such as cotton batiste, seersucker, rayon, etc. Sizes included are 12 months to 14 years old.
The Seaside shorts include sizes 3 to 14 years old and feature:
high waist
invisible zipper
waist facing
darts on the front and back
optional back waist elastic
optional belt loops with sash or decorative buttons on the front pockets.
Sew them in a medium-weight cotton such as twill, canvas, lightweight denim, linen, etc, and these are the perfect summer staple.
I made quite a few shorts and tops for my daughter and she loves wearing them, either together or paired with other pants and t-shirts.
