Introducing the Laura Jeans pants & shorts pattern

Meet the new pdf pattern for girls, the Laura Jeans. The Laura is a regular to slim fit jeans pants or shorts, fitted at the hip with tapered legs. It's designed for girls (whose body measurements are different from boys' from age 8 years old and up), and include all the regular details that you find in jeans, such as the rounded hip pockets, a coin pocket, back yoke and flat felled seams.

The Laura Jeans sit on the preferred waist (below the natural waist) and include an optional ruffle for the top of the pockets, a shorts option, topstitch templates for the back pockets and professional construction techniques.
The pattern is suitable for every season, to wear to school or play in.

The design features:

• slightly tapered legs;

• medium height body rise;

• pants or shorts length;

• optional ruffles for the pockets;

• inset front pockets with coin pocket;

• yoke and patch pockets in the back with 6 different topstitch designs;

• zip fly;

• adjustable waistband;

• topstitched waistband with belt loops.

This is a digital pattern and comes in sizes 3 through 14 years (meaning from 98cm to 164cm height), separated by color and line style. All pattern files feature Adobe Acrobat "Layers", so that you can print just the size that you need. The A4 file is compatible with both A4 and US letter sized paper, to print at home. And if you don't feel like doing all the cutting and taping, there's also an A0 format file that you can have printed at a copy shop.

The Laura are designed for woven fabrics and work well in medium to heavyweight denim, fine wale corduroy, cotton twill, or even velvet.
